Located in the heart of Germantown in Northwest Philadelphia, the Senior Environment Corps (SEC) a volunteer program under the auspices of Center in the Park (CIP), is a dynamic program dedicated to engaging older adults in environmental stewardship, volunteerism, and community service. The program connects seniors with meaningful opportunities to contribute to environmental conservation while fostering social connections and promoting active aging.

Center in the Park was established in 1968 and has since evolved into a nationally recognized wellness center. With a rich history of promoting positive aging and community engagement, CIP has consistently provided innovative programs that enhance the lives of of older adults. Our mission is to support seniors in activities that protect and enhance our natural surroundings while also promoting environmental awareness, health, wellness, and life-long learning.

What We Do:
